The first lionfish spotted by Vone Research divers on Feb. 21, 2010 off the coast of Pompano Beach, FL.  This photo was taken by Vone's Treasurer and Rescue Diver, Scott Cravens.   It met the business end of a Riffe.
'Lionfish on Boca Reef' submitted by USA Dive Club's Bernie Meier.  This full grown Lionfish was found in 35 ft of water between Boca and Hillsboro Inlet on Saturday, April 10, 2010.
This photograph was submitted to us on April 10, 2010 by Deb Devers.  This 1.5 inch lionfish was captured at Phil Foster Park at the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach, FL.
This photo was submitted by Erin Porter of Force-E.  It was taken on May 9, 2010 on Sanctuary Reef in 45 ft. of water.  This small juvenile was only about 1.5 inches long.
The Vone Research divers video taped and eradicated this lionfish off of Hillsboro Inlet on June 6, 2010. His body was about 3 inches long.
This photo was submitted by Harry Booth.  This lionfish was found in 63 ft. of water on the sand at 11:00 AM on July 4, 2010, and was terminated at 11:15 AM.

This photo was submitted by Vone Research on Aug 8, 2010, after Captain Jerry Turmaine of Parrot Island Scuba gave us the address  (GPS location) of several lionfish sightings on the Antbeds.  Five lionfish were taken that day.

This Photo was taken by Matthew Breen (Keller Williams Realty of the Palm Beaches, and Little Deeper Dive Charters) off the West Palm Beach Coast on Breakers Reef.  This little guy caught me off guard with no spear.  Since then I have killed 6 or 7 more in the same location.

This photo was submitted by Harry Booth. Two lionfish were speared while diving in 60 feet of water just off Pompano Beach on October 11, 2010. Both were about 7 inches long.
